Camp Full Moon Farm

All the kids and helpers get together under a tree for a group photo. The Full Moon Farm Camp day is filled with horse-related everything! Campers will discover the wonderful world of horses and farm life! Campers enjoy daily riding, horse care lessons, guest speakers, horse related crafts, nature hikes, games and more all during a week-long horse adventure! Riding groups are formed by age and previous riding experience to let everyone get the most from their daily lessons. Ample assistance is provided for “new horse people”. Campers who have not previously ridden independently may enjoy their camp riding experience even more if they have completed a few private lessons before camp begins, but this is not required. We are prepared for all riding abilities.

Camp Schedule

Camp begins promptly at 8:30 am each day. Please plan to arrive a few minutes in advance to walk your camper up to registration and sign them in each day.

Our day ends at 3:00 pm and we ask that each camper be signed out at the end of each day.

For a fee, Beforecare and Aftercare can be arranged in advance from 7:30 am to 5 pm (with no aftercare on Friday.)

We tailor each day based on the campers’ interests and abilities as well as the weather.

Camp activities include morning riding lessons, horse care lessons, crafts, daily nature hikes, games, and guest speakers, (including veterinarians, dentists, chiropractors, trainers, and barn managers). Activities include anything from learning to properly groom, tack & bathe a horse or pony, listening to guest speakers to horse related games and crafts. We learn about breeds, markings, tack, barn management, horse health, and horse care and safety. Our arts and crafts are a popular event every year! Campers take home crafts each and every day. At Full Moon Farm, each day brings new learning, adventure, and fun!

What to Bring

Everyone should plan to bring his or her lunch in a cooler and a water bottle. Water refills and two daily snacks are provided. Your rider will need to have long pants and hard-soled shoes with a heel to ride in but may wear shorts during the non-riding portion of the day. We have helmets available for riding, or you may bring your own if you have one.
